- Self-contained, gamma radiation sterilized, ready-to-use system: They're wrapped in a convenient peel pouch format
- System includes a glass tube containing a semisolid, pre-reduced transport medium
- Lot number and expiration date are printed on tube labels
- Complete collection and transportation system for viruses, chlamydia, mycoplasma and ureaplasma
- Glass beads provide extra surface area for cell adhesion and facilitate spreading of the specimen in subsequent culturing
- Scored Dacron-tipped swab breaks off cleanly at the right length to fit inside tube
- Cap automatically engages swab shaft on closing and holds it tightly on reopening
- Approved for storage at room temperature for up to 1 year prior to use
- There are 50 specimen collection and transport systems in a pack
